In the workplace, we may feel stressed out, anxious and misunderstood. The stresses can be driven by financial pressure, family matters, relationship issues, and responsibility in our personal lives.
This contemporary evidence-based workshop offers participants a range of practical strategies for professional and personal life.
Our levels of distress in Australia have increased through COVID-19. Even prior to the pandemic, a Stress Poll from the APS indicated 91% of respondents experienced ‘some’ stress, with 43% suffering from ‘a lot’ or unhealthy stress levels.
Hence, even small shifts in our approach or understanding of stress is valuable. Relationship stress is part of being a social species and can impact team cohesion and the home environment. We sidestep from traditional stress management and add depth to our program with applied neuroscience strategies to build perspective, empathy and forgiveness.
This is an essential workshop for 2022 for all industries and will support practical tools and a positive experience.
2020 Black dog institute: People with pre-existing anxiety disorders, existing health anxiety (those who worry excessively about having or contracting illnesses), and other mental health disorders are at risk of experiencing higher anxiety levels during the COVID-19 outbreak.
May 2020 Unicef Australia: The proportion of young people in Australia (aged 13 to 17 years) who feel their ability to cope well with life has almost halved from 81% to 45% since before the national COVID-19 pandemic response. Nearly three quarters (70%) of young people in Australia said the pandemic response had negatively impacted their social connectedness, and six in ten (61%) their day-to-day life.
Melbourne University Rethink Australia 2020 Report Of the close to 5 million parents with children under 18 in Australia, 24 per cent have reported high rates of mental distress since the start of the pandemic. This has persisted well beyond the end of local lockdowns.

Why invest in a team workshop? What does welcome to the team mean in your organisation?
We often hear that new team members ‘hit the ground running’ and this is primarily due to the fast-paced nature of our organisations. One client mentioned, there is just less ‘chum factor’ – this is often presented to us as a lack of connection in teams or across departments. We still often hear the term ‘silos’. With technological advances, we communicate digitally and have less direct face to face opportunities to really connect. This session works brilliantly with one team, or you can have many in the room, and we will mix them all and have time with their own team.
