Sustainable Development Goals Workshop Cultivating Strategic Direction using Appreciative Inquiry. Half or full-day summit style. Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart
The phrase ‘Be the Change you wish to see in the world’ is attributed to Mahatma Gandi, but going beyond that we need to ‘Be the Change youย can’tย see in the world’.
This workshop is destined to be a truly memorable experience for participants- fuelling a higher sense of purpose, responsibility and ethical behaviour in the workplace, community and as an active and effective global citizen.
This activity and connection- rich workshop brings three exciting core concepts together:
โข Personal strengths for engagement (VIA Values in action)
โข Appreciative Inquiry implementation strategyย
โขย Most importantlyย an opportunity to discover and tap into a true sense of personal and team purpose + culture pride – through enabling contributions working towards the 2030 Global Goals.’
The Objective: To deliver a high impact and powerfully interactive team event that creates a ripple of impact.ย
The three core themes
1) Global Goals: 17 Sustainable Development Goals
The Global Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals are interconnected and to leave no one behind, it รญs important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030. Let your team decide what’s important to them and how your organisation can support the Goals in the workplace.
2) VIA Strengthsย discovery and engagement. VIA Strengths( Values in Action) underpin the Positive Psychology PERMA framework and are the path to intrinsic motivation and engagement. (If you have discovered your strengths with us already- we can reprint your reports and extend your journey)
3) An opportunity to learn one or both of the two leading collaborative thinking and change implementation frameworks, both if its a full-day experiential- summit.
CSR should be about who we are as an organisation, not just what we do.
Option 1:The 6 thinking hats frameworkย . The genius thinking system developed by Edward de Bono which leverages the power of parallel thinking. ( hats provided!)
Option 2:ย Appreciative Inquiryย the leading change strategy of today’s times.

โข Discover the power of giving strengths-based feedback in your project team by experiencing it.ย
โข Celebrate and plan the ripple- personally, locally and globally.
Option to use one or both of the two innovation development processes depending on time available.
Both are exceptional tools for the future.ย
6 Hats Frameworkย
– Learn the power of the 6 hats framework of parallel thinking
– This can be used in future meetings to assist with in-house strategy and innovation development and is far superior to any brainstorm system.ย
– It brings all team members into the decision-making process, eliminates ego or the loudest voice having the predominant say and creates a psychologically safe opportunity to develop well thought out ideas.ย
– This framework can be used to enlist varied team members thoughts in the future when an idea is on the table – enabling ‘smart risks’ to be a part of your future.
In this workshop, participants work together with other teammates who may be from different areas of the business to bring one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals to life personally and in the work environment. Building connections across a business eliminates silos and supports a more resilient culture.ย
In this experience they may develop – an organisation team challenge, community give-back scheme or a new initiative or reward program, or customer engagement strategies with heart – there are endless opportunities.ย
The team then pitch their group’s idea back to the group and change champions are nominated to ensure the projects get lift-off internally.ย
Appreciative Inquiry
Learn the most current change management system.ย
APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY (AI) is a change management approach that focuses on identifying what is working well, analysing why it is working well and then doing more of it. The basic tenet of AI is that an organisation will grow in whichever direction that people in the organization focus their attention.
(AI) was pioneered in the 1980s by David Cooperrider and Suresh Srivastava, two professors at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
