Transformation in a business can be not just doing good but beinggood. The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR)is generally understood to mean that corporations have a degree of responsibility not only for the economic consequences of their activities but also for the social and environmental implications. This is sometimes referred to as a ‘triple bottom line’ approach that considers the economic, social and environmental aspects of corporate activity. Various terms are used to describe CSR initiatives, including ‘Corporate Responsibility,’ ‘Corporate Accountability’, ‘Corporate Citizenship’ and ‘Corporate Sustainability.’ On Friday 25th September 2015, the United Nations announced the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Since then there has been a drive to engage people across the world in the idea of the Global Goals and encourage their participation. The Global Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, prosperity, peace and justice. The Goals are interconnected to leave no one behind, and challenge us to achieve each of the 17 Goals and targets by 2030. We would love to support your teams to engage with the goals personally, as a team and as an organisation. Feel the power of purpose!
