In fact, the term “leadership” was first used in the 16th century by the Italian philosopher Niccolรฒ Machiavelli in his book titled “The Prince”.

We will discuss what is positive leadership and how it differs from traditional leadership. We will also look at some of the most common challenges faced by leaders, especially today.

Positive leadership was first introduced by Professor Kim Cameron of the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in the early 2000s. He developed the concept to help organizations create a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and creativity. Cameron has written extensively on the topic, including his book Positive Leadership: Strategies for Extraordinary Performance.ย 

 

Jane Wundersitz specialised in Positive Leadership as her elective in her nationally accredited Diploma of Positive studies in Positive Psychology completed in 2014- 2016. She has supported numerous corporate and government organisations nationally to bring this contemporary leadership focus to their organisation.
