In this workshop our accredited trainer/s will take you on a high energy journey to create awareness of your own mental toughness, how you can develop it and the benefits of doing so.

In this workshop we

• Define Mental Toughness
• Discover the origins of Mental Toughness
• Which VIA Strengths relate to Mental Toughness
• Understand Mental Toughness and its implication for performance, behaviour and wellbeing. How it can help individuals to deal with stress, pressure and challenge.

• Discover the mental toughness model which comprises four pillar components, the 4Cs.:

Challenge– seeing challenge as an opportunity and “getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Confidence– having high levels of self-belief and confidence in interpersonal interactions

Commitment – goal setting and being able to stick to tasks

Control – self esteem, being comfortable in your own skin and managing emotions.

Option to include the MTQ48 online assessment.
This takes no longer than 8-10 minutes to measure Mental Toughness. MTQ48 measures the four components of Mental Toughness identified by Clough and Strycharzyk, the 4 C’s of Control, Commitment, Challenge and Confidence.

This is designed true to the WunderTraining style with a highly visual presentation and a positive and interactive delivery. The base session frame work and activities are aligned to the Mental Toughness Partner materials and recommendations from AQR.

Mental toughness origins:
The concept of mental toughness has origins in academic research and in sport.

Professor Peter Clough, Professor of Applied Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University, and a pioneer on research into mental toughness has identified that mental toughness consists of four components, the 4 C’s, of Control, Commitment, Challenge and Confidence.

Mental toughness is closely related to GRIT.

Angela Duckworth is renown for her research which shows anyone striving to succeed from business people, students, educators and athletes— outstanding achievement is not talent but a special blend of passion and persistence she calls “grit.”

Angela has found that grit— for a singularly important goal—is the hallmark of high achievers in every domain. She’s has also found scientific evidence that grit can grow.
Mental toughness is built through small wins. It’s the choices that we make on a daily basis that build our “mental toughness muscle.” It’s your physical actions that prove your mental fortitude.
